I too was once at the "top of the hill", everybody loved me. But I got complacent and didn't remember to stay humble and remind myself that I could lose it anytime.
By simply gaining 40 pounds and becoming overworked and overtired (two young kids at home) my charisma is gone; everyone who "loved me" suddenly is too busy to meet me.
I'm slowly working my way back but I hope this time is different and I remind myself of how we can lose everything in the blink of an eye.
