Thanks for putting a phrase to “normative social influence.” I definitely understanding the feeling but couldn’t put a name to it.

I heard a quote the other day that said if you go to work and pretend that's pretending for about 50% of your day. That's a LOT of pretending. It's molds you into something you are not.

Like you said, there is NOTHING more liberating than taking the shackles off and just being yourself. Crazy thing is, all the worries you have about being yourself don’t actually manifest. You notice your problems getting smaller and your ideas getting bigger.

This is so well written, well done.

I can tell you that this rings so true for many people caught up in the corporate world. They burn inside themselves to break free, but am not prepared to take that leap of faith.

So important what you said, that each of us must remind ourselves of what we believe in and then be true to that.
