Great profile - I love the little tidbits "saying nice to SEE you, rather than nice to MEET you" and connecting more deeply over our failures than our successes
This was great, please do more! A lot of cool narrative journalism style writing in the business world is hidden behind super expensive paywalls (FT, Economist, WSJ subscriptions are more expensive than many papers 😭) … so nice to read something like this
Great profile! My favourite part was “His failures became trophies, a reminder that even the harshest ridicule can be repurposed into a badge of resilience.” What a great lesson on perspective.
Great profile! When I used to date, one of my questions for prospective candidates was Batman or Superman. Those who prefer Superman tend to believe in their own superiority, those who prefer Batman tend to accept their flaws.
It's hard not to like someone who is unapologetically himself. I think crypto/Bitcoin are in for more volatile swings, so I'm not sure I'd invest in his fund, but watching his antics from a safe distance is entertaining.
Great read. Insightful and enjoyable. While your husband can be prone to playful enhancements, calling his wife "one of the best business profile writers in the country" is certainly not one of them!
Polina, your timing couldn't be better. Yesterday I was knocked down hard in my career, had dinner with a friend who spoke many words of truth and encouragement to me, and felt a new wave of focus this morning, but I was not expecting to read about someone else's failures and resiliency. Thank you!
Great Profile!
thank you John!

So well written. Captured nuances, contradictions and I now understand why he’s successful.
