Yes! Great way to put it; I’ve been trying to put my finger on that feeling & that need to have random conversations with people. I thought it was about how I could be anyone and really, maybe sometimes I’m more me with them than with my mom who I’m trying to protect so I’m not sharing I’m in a bad mood. But I’ll say to the barista I’m having a rough day. 🤷‍♀️

I totally agree! Weak ties can be like these hidden bridges to completely new worlds. You chat with an old college friend you haven't spoken to in ages, and they mention a fascinating hobby you never knew existed. Or maybe a friendly neighbor throws out a random recommendation for a https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/5-best-personal-statement-writing-services-experts-review-mary-walton-8cq5e book or a band, and suddenly you're down a rabbit hole of discovery. It's those unexpected connections with acquaintances that can bring a surprising spark of excitement and fresh perspectives into your life.

I'm new to The Profile and enjoy it immensely!

My work is with Corporate Events and this post resonates deeply. We've navigated thru COVID for the most part and the Events Industry has seemingly got it's legs back under itself too.

Albeit just a microcosm of our lives, attending in-person Events is all about what you wrote, "It was the random, tiny interactions I had with strangers on a daily basis." You don't get these interactions while attending virtually or even on a business Zoom call.

I lived in Manhattan for 15 years - moved to Boston, and now live on Cape Cod. Tranquility at the expense of isolation.

I'll approach my next Starbucks stop with a rejuvenated sense of Connection - thx for this thoughtful post:)
